Ian Treasure’s kinetic sculpture and installations are influenced by his interests in modern mechanics, specifically the devices that we have become so reliant upon during the post-industrial age.  To draw attention to this excessive reliance on modern machinery, Treasure incorporates simple mechanisms in tandem with household items, with a twist of humor, questioning the validity of their respective place in today’s society.

Aggregate Space presents new immersive installations that balance Treasure’s sense of order, chaos, humor and societal critique.
