Open Submissions Information

Thank you for your interest in exhibiting at Aggregate Space Gallery (ASG)! Each year, ASG hosts eight exhibitions, supporting approximately 20 emerging artists with 32 events that are free and open to the public. Information from this form will be considered for one of three annual solo exhibitions. We also accept submissions for group exhibitions during our annual Video Open Call (November deadline) and Aggregate Animated Shorts (June deadline), but not on this form. ASG is not accepting proposals from curators at this time and suggest that you apply for a solo exhibition as an individual artist for this application.

ASG is a charitable, artist-run exhibition and performance space in West Oakland that prioritizes the exhibition of museum-quality, innovative sculptural and new media works that generally can’t be seen elsewhere – our mantra is “Install the Unimaginable.” Please familiarize yourself with our recent programming by visiting our website.

Projects and exhibitions are curated by our all-artist curatorial committee. We review applications twice a year. If your proposal gets selected, you will get contacted by our exhibitions committee for further conversations. Open submissions is a highly competitive process. Work is chosen based on its fit within our programming at a particular moment, not on the judgment of its merit alone.

Email the following to exhibit@aggregatespacegallery.org as attachments the same day you submit your payment and online form:

- Resume/CV
- Images: Artists may submit up to four jpeg images of completed works. Video links can be hyperlinked in the submission form. If you are proposing a new work, please send images of completed projects with your proposal.
