New Paintings

Aggregate Space Gallery presents this collection of new works that are each one step removed from traditional painting. In New Paintings, the artists address conventional media with unconventional technology and technique – confronting the ongoing reality of making work in a digital era. The exhibition features work that speaks to the act of painting, often humorously, through programmed strokes, pneumatic drips, self-aware idioms, layered time, and tactile impersonations, all created in this moment of hybrid aesthetics.
