We are proud to announce that Aggregate Space Gallery is a Spring 2018 Grant Recipient of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.

This a game changer for our small but mighty organization and gives us the opportunity to pay critical artists stipends, supporting the creation of new work while allowing artists to take risks and use their talents to push the audience’s perceptions of what can be accomplished. The remaining funds will be for paid staff so we can continue to provide access for any visitor, at no cost, to experience new museum-quality works created specifically for our space here in Oakland.

“Despite the sizable population of artists living in the city, Oakland has few spaces that offer the kind of support and attention to detail provided by Aggregate Space. The staff contributes a remarkable amount of labor and expertise to help artists realize their visions, no matter how complex. We are thrilled to support this vital addition to the Bay Area arts community.” – Rachel Bers, Program Director of Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts
