Dear ASG Supporter,

Thanks to your support, Aggregate Space Gallery’s (ASG's) first fundraiser in August 2015 was an enormous success. The money raised last year helped ASG continue to create opportunities for artists and thinkers who are producing innovative and exciting works in experiential mediums; in the last 18 months alone, ASG has provided 6 artists with their first solo exhibitions!

Please join us for ASG’s second ticketed fundraiser. We will toast the successes of the last four years and thank you - our loyal supporter! If we meet our fundraising goal, we will have enough capital to endow our art and writing residencies, begin offering stipends for exhibiting artists, produce the 6 remaining exhibitions of this calendar year, and allow for ASG’s continued focus on projects that do not rely on commercial sales. As a young nonprofit, we continue to do a lot with a little; our donation target for this upcoming fundraiser is $15,000.

Aggregate Space Gallery provides Bay Area artists with a valuable contemporary exhibition and performance space and a program that champions the importance of immersive works in the Bay Area community and beyond. Since opening in November 2011, we have:
  • hosted nearly 40 exhibitions and over 80 public receptions
  • exhibited 140 artists
  • hosted Featherboard Writing Series with over 70 writers
  • been home to 2 Artists in Residence and 18 Writers in Residence
  • created opportunities for young professionals to gain experience through our internship program

In addition, ASG has produced regular artist talks, film series, performances, and more. Our programming is entirely organized and run on the generosity and boundless energy of a small group of volunteers, and we count on your donations to keep the space running. Working closely with our newly-formed board of directors, ASG will continue its exciting evolution in 2016. In the year ahead, we will continue to augment our already strong programming and we will ramp up our community outreach, building new community partnerships and relationships. We have also created and launched a new website, and plan to begin offering stipends for exhibiting artists and our Writers In Residence.

Each ASG exhibition costs $3,500 to produce. Please consider donating - no amount is too small. We seek to raise the funds to cover the complete cost of at least four exhibitions, which includes:
  • Paint, materials and administrative necessities
  • Postcards & publicity
  • Rent for 6 weeks
  • Administrative staff
  • Exhibition install

ASG’s existence as a unique space dedicated to creative exploration and the celebration of art and community relies on you and your support. All funds raised will be put toward 2016 programming and the continued success of Aggregate Space Gallery's mission.

Our Mission:

ASG is an exhibition and performance space dedicated to the exploration and presentation of immersive works. We provide extensive in-house resources and expertise that enable artists to promote intellectual and tangible artworks in a public platform. We showcase video and installation artworks, films, lectures and performances by innovative regional artists and thinkers whose work ignites critical dialogue.
